Mumbai being the financial as well as the Industrial capital of the Country plays home to thousands of people who have to travel abroad for official as well as leisure purposes. Mumbai, is also the capital of the state of Maharashtra and hence the passport office here is highly important.

The Regional passport office in Mumbai is located in southern Mumbai in the area of Worli. The address of the passport office is 216, Manish Commercial Centre, Dr. Annie Besant Road , Worli with Pincode 400 030. The centre for submission of the applications is at a five minute drive from the main regional office and is located at Bengal Chemical Bhavan, Prabhadevi, Mumbai-400 025. This centre for submission of the applications is known as the The Passport Office Annex.

The passport office is open five days a week from Monday to Friday and is not open at the weekends on Saturday and Sunday. The Passport office will also be shut on Government and public holidays being observed in the state. The regional office at Mumbai covers parts of Mumbai and Greater Mumbai. The other districts falling under its jurisdiction are the Districts of Aurangabad,  Beed, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg and the Union Territory of  Daman & Silvassa also fall under the Regional passport office based in Mumbai.

The submission of application forms is on till 2.30 pm every working day at the Passport Annex office in Prabhadevi and the sale of forms is open till about 1.30 pm every working day.
