This certificate could be taken from distinguished personalities of the Central or the State Government or even from a Colonel or any greater rank in the Army, air force or the Navy. This passport is generally issued only under emergency situations and extra fees may be charged for it.
Rs. 1000 is the fees for a new passport of 36 pages for 10 years validity and Rs. 1500 are the fees for a new passport of 60 pages for 15 years validity. To get a passport within ten days of application under the Tatkal Scheme the fees is Rs. 1500. And to get the passport issued in 11-35 days from the time of submission of the application is Rs. 1000. The payments can be made either in the form of a bank draft in the name of the Regional Passport officer or by paying through Cash.
